Born in Canoga Park, CA, Shane became interested in films at the age of 3 when his father started taking him to the movies on a regular basis. Then, at the age of 5, his dad showed him how he could disappear on screen by doing a jump cut edit. This simple effect fascinated Shane
and by the time he was 7, he was making short action movies.
His first film that he made after graduating high school was Isolation. He used the tips he received from one weekend of delivering pizzas to make the film. Shane hired fellow classmate Matt DeJohn to shoot his visually challenging short. And despite having no money, finding locations and actors at the last minute, fighting rainy and sunny days, no permits, etc., Isolation premiered at the Sedona Int'l Film Festival, playing along side another short with a budget of $40,000.
Ryan recently completed Amateur Porn Star Killer 2 and is currently shooting Part 3 of the trilogy.

Ryan's short films & music videos have been awarded by The Cornerstone Festival, Amor Productions, Philadelphia Video Festival, Channel Islands Film Festival, South Jersey United Filmmakers Fest, Oceanside Underground Cinema, Fiery Film Fest and Film Threat, including acknowledgments for Best of Fest, Best Cinematography, Best Music Video, Best Trailer,
Best Documentary, Best of 2004, and others.
Several of his works were screened multiple times on the IFC Channel as part of the Media Lab Winners. Shane won 5 different times, for 5 months of showings. His films have also screened at more than 30 other festivals around the world.
